Jocelyne Chan (FOUNDER, PIANO, CELLO, COMPOSITION)
Jocelyne, a cellist, musicologist, and music educator, received top-quality classical music training and believes in the value of practice and perseverance. She graduated from UCLA's famed Herb Alpert School of Music with a degree in music performance and musicology. Her area of specialization lies in piano and cello pedagogy, advanced music theory, and musicianship. With a passion for music that she wishes to share with people of all ages, she founded the New Bach Music School, bringing a fresh approach to music learning and raising the bar for music education. Currently, she resides in Seattle with her beloved fur baby Ponyo.
Selina Siow (PIANO, VIOLIN, MUSIC EDUCATION)
Selina is a skilled violinist, collaborative musician, and music educator. With extensive orchestral experience, she has held prestigious positions in various ensembles worldwide, including the Chicago Philharmonic, University of Washington Symphony Orchestra, and the Asian Youth Symphony. She garnered acclaim at the International Music Festival EURASIA and has performed as a soloist with the Hong Kong Charity Chamber Orchestra.
Ms. Siow received her Master in Music and Performance Diploma degrees from the Chicago College of Performing Arts. Currently pursuing a Doctoral of Musical Arts at the University of Washington, she is dedicated to creating a nurturing learning environment for her students.
Eliza Rodriguez (PIANO, FLUTE, MUSIC EDUCATION)
Eliza began her professional music career in the San Francisco Bay Area, bringing extensive experience in teaching private lessons and group classes to K-12 students. A graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the Eastman School of Music, she studied under Bonita Boyd and Timothy Day, with additional guidance from Donna Shin, Nancy Stagnitta, and Nadine Asin.
Eliza's performance experience includes prestigious music festivals such as the Aspen and Bay View Music Festivals, as well as masterclasses with luminaries such as James Galway, Marina Piccinini, and the Imani Winds Quintet. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in flute studies at the University of Washington.
Eliza has developed her own curriculum for classroom settings and employs various pedagogical resources, emphasizing compassion, creativity, and accountability in her students. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, she began learning the flute at age nine.
