(Classes begin September 2023):
Our Piano Class is a specially designed program for TK-6th graders who are passionate about exploring the fascinating world of music and the piano keyboard. Through this class, students will learn essential skills, including hand position, note-reading, chord vocabulary, rhythm, and music theory. In addition, students will have the opportunity to learn and play a variety of fun songs, enhancing their engaging learning experience! Keyboards & headphones are provided at class, and each student will receive a lesson book!
Our Ukulele Class is a fun introduction to the ukulele, designed specifically for TK-5th graders. The ukulele - also known as “the instrument of peace” - is a great instrument to begin studying music! During this class, students will have the opportunity to learn an assortment of chords, various fingerpicking and strumming styles, and will play and sing along to several well-known songs. Best of all, each student will have a ukulele provided for them during class!
After School Music Class FAQ’s:
Question: Does my child need to bring a ukulele or keyboard to Class?
Answer: No! NBMS will be providing a Ukulele and Keyboard for each child.
Question: What is the set up for Piano Class?
Answer: Each student in our Piano Class has access to a 66-key keyboard and headphones!
Question: What is the set up for Ukulele Class?
Answer: Each student will have a ukulele provided for them during the class!
Question: Will NBMS provide lesson books?
Answer: Yes! Each student will receive a FREE lesson book! (We use the most well-regarded and child friendly music study books)
Question: What happens if my child goes to After School, Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCA, After Care, etc?
Answer: We are in close communication with these groups. They will walk your child to us when class begins, and will pick up your child when class ends.
Question: What if my child does not go to any extended care?
Answer: Your child will go directly to music class when the release bell rings. Most of our classes are held in the school’s multi-use room.
Question: What if my child took Piano Class with NBMS last year? Will they be repeating the same material?
Answer: No! Returning students will continue from where they left off!
Question: What if I need to drop the class? Can I know the process and the refund policy?
Answer: You may withdraw from a class before or within 24 hours after the first class. New Bach Music School will refund the tuition (minus the cost of the first class). Click here to know more about after-school music classes policy.
